A Season in Bloom

Spring is a time for freshness and new beginnings. Along with a shift in temperatures, comes a shift in attitude and new trends blossom in jewelry and clothing. I am excited to report that Pantone, Inc., the world’s leading authority on color, has chosen Turquoise as the Color of the Year for 2010.

Forever favorites of mine, turquoise gemstones are a staple of Southwestern jewelry design. The luminous, bluish-green gems have soothing, tranquil qualities that invoke thoughts of tropical waters or a comforting escape from the stresses of everyday life. Turquoise has both warm and cool undertones and pairs nicely with many colors including browns and neutrals, reds and pinks, deep blues and brings a splash of life to other greens.

My new spring jewelry features that gorgeous Turquoise, as well as other fabulous stones – blue, Fire Agate; a white Turquoise called Magnesite; crisp, grassy Jades; and the classic Onyx to pair with all of your black and whites.
